CALEDON, Ontario, Canada — T.T. Crouch is four strokes off the lead at this week’s PGA Tour Canada tournament, the Osprey Valley Open, which began Thursday at the Osprey Valley Golf Club Toot Course.

Crouch, from Mount Vernon, shot a 6-under par 66, with only one bogey for the round. He got through that early, and as the first golfer to tee off at 7:15 a.m. on Hole No. 1, had three straight pars before bogeying the par 3 No. 4. He went under par with two straight birdies, on Nos. 5 and 6, and a birdie on No. 8 left him at 2-under.

Crouch began the back nine with birdies on Nos. 10 and 11, and added another on No. 13. He finished the round with his seventh birdie of the day to go to 6-under.

Lee Hodges shot a 10-under par 62 to hold the first-round lead, with Charles Wang second at 9-under 63. Seven players are tied at 8-under 64.

Crouch’s tee time for today is 12:15 p.m. on the No. 10 hole. The tournament runs through Sunday.
