UTICA — The North Fork local school district found the district to be in a healthy place at their July meeting Monday evening.

Treasurer Tonya Mickley reported the district to be in a solid financial state.

North Fork is currently projecting general fund revenue over expenditures at an amount of approximately $450,000.

The biggest project currently facing the district is the construction of a new bus garage, which is still within its budget of $763,582 general contract total, as well as the change orders, Mickley told the News.

Superintendent Scott Hartley reported that the district is searching to hire a transportation food services individual. The position is currently open on the district website.

The board discussed whether this position should be split into two separate positions or be kept as one position. Hartley said that the board will determine the need for a single or double position based on the applicants.
