DANVILLE — The Danville local schools board of education meeting Monday evening saw the district in a healthy financial state.

Treasurer Mary Payne reported 95.1 percent of the general fund appropriations were spent in fiscal year 2018.

She reported the fiscal year receipts to be $209,000 lower than they were a year ago, with fiscal year to date expenditures to be $54,203 lower as well.

Current cash balance for the district is $726,000 higher than last year, she said. The district has additionally received their rebate from the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, which is 85 percent of the premium.

Payne also updated the board on invoices from the Knox County Educational Service Center for their services with the school and the preschool. The district owes the ESC $33,421.
