SUNBURY — David Tucker, 88, of Sunbury, went to be with Lord Saturday, June 30, 2018, at 10 a.m. David was born Sept. 22, 1929, to the late Guy and Ruby Tucker.
Before retiring, Dave was part owner of A-Academy Appliance Service. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman with many tournament wins and championships, he was best known as a bass fisherman. Dave Tucker was a friend to everyone. He was an active member of The Vineyard Church of Knox County. In his 88-year life, Dave’s had many different seasons. In the past few years, Dave loved going out to eat on Sundays after church with the family. He also loved going to watch his great-grandchildren run cross-country and track. Though he never golfed, he loved the sport. During the Memorial Tournament, he and Tom would sit on the 18th hole together.
Over the last few years, many folks became a big part of Dave’s family. Mike and Tina West drove him to church and spent many evenings eating out. He loved spaghetti dinners and going on rides with them. Bob and Chris Apple picked him up for church and hunted with him. Gary Low and Bob Adams spent a lot of time at Barb’s Diner and taking him to doctor appointments. Also, John Guthmann and Jill and Danny always visited him. And we can’t forget his love for Wendy’s frosties.
