MOUNT VERNON — WNZR 90.9 FM, a broadcast ministry of Mount Vernon Nazarene University, announces the hire of Wesley Boston to the position of Underwriting Coordinator and Office Manager.

“I am excited to welcome Wesley back to the WNZR team,” said Marcy Rinehart, station manager of WNZR. “His experience both on and off the air will be a great asset to our ministry. We are blessed and fortunate to receive the financial support of this wonderful community to make this full-time position possible. I look forward to having Wesley serve our business underwriters, donors, and listeners.”

Boston returns to WNZR after graduating from MVNU in the spring of 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in video and radio broadcasting. As a student, Boston served WNZR as the Underwriting Coordinator for three years and Morning Thing Co-Host for two years. Boston was also involved in MVNU’s honors program and theater department while attending the university.

“MVNU and WNZR instilled so much in me during my time as a student,” said Boston. “It is a blessing to be able to return to such an awesome community to give back. When I graduated, I did not think it would be part of the plan to come back. But, I am excited to see what God has in store for me, WNZR and MVNU as we move forward together.”

After graduation, Boston worked at WQKT/WKVX as an on-air DJ. He also spent time as a drama instructor with Drama Kids International in Columbus.

“We’re thrilled to have Wesley back at WNZR,” said Joe Rinehart, director of broadcasting at WNZR and MVNU communication department chair. “His knowledge of what we do and who we are will help us continue to grow our relationships on the campus and in the community.”
