CENTERBURG — The Heart of Ohio USA Days in Centerburg started Wednesday with the first annual Lip Sync competition, with competitors bringing their best costumes — and their best silent performance — to the stage to entertain the crowd of festival-goers.

In its first year, 12 acts participated. All ages were welcome for the evening’s contest. Duets and groups were also welcomed, many contestants taking on a group and solo performance for the competition.

Participants were split into age categories for judging, which included children up to 8 years, tweens nine to 12 years, teens 13-17 years and adults 18 and older.
