MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Board of Health Wednesday voted to apply for up to $250,000 in grant money for expanding mental health and outreach services.

“This is an exciting possibility, if we get it,” said Health Center CEO Lane Belangia. “I don’t have all the details, but it would mean more resources for the community.”

The application for the Expanding Access to Quality Substance Abuse Disorder and Mental Health Services grant application is due for submission by July 16.
