GAMBIER — Friends of the Quarry Chapel is holding a concert Sunday, July 1, at 3 p.m. featuring the talents of the duo Goslee Reed and Kean.
Sarah Goslee Reed and Kerry Kean like to pack as many instruments as possible onto a small stage, play them all and sing at the same time. Blending fiddle tunes, and many original songs with bluegrass/folk harmonies, they will bring you tall summer grass in Gillian Welch’s “Wichita,” immerse you in the ‘shorter days and longer sleeves’ of “October Sky” written by Kerry, and bring you into the glow of Sarah’s song about a town (and person) named “Yellowbud.”
The historic Quarry Chapel is located at 10930 Quarry Chapel Road in Gambier. For more information, see the Facebook page or visit www.quarrychapel.com. There is no charge for admission.
