DANVILLE — The Sanctuary, located at 304 S. Market St. in Danville, has released the following calendar of events for May.
•Every day: Family Life Counseling & Psychiatric Services, a private non-profit mental health and substance abuse agency. “Counseling that Makes A Difference.” MedicAid and Medicare approved and accepting most insurances. To schedule or more information, call the Mansfield office at 1-419-774-9969.
•Every Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 12 noon: American Health Network/Dr. Elder. American Health Network’s Dr. Elder’s nurse practitioners, Deb Samples and Laura Segraves on a rotating basis. Contact their office at 740-694-1261 to schedule or more information. Walk-ins welcome.
•Every Tuesday, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Rebecca Metcalf, certified nurse practitioner. General medical care for children and adults. Self pay only. Appointments encouraged. Contact her at 740-427-2414 to schedule. Leave a message and your call will be returned.

•Thursday, July 12, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: WIC Clinic. WIC is a nutrition education program providing healthy supplemental foods for expectant and/or nursing mothers as well as families with infants and children up to age 5 who live in Knox county and meet the liberal income guidelines. Please contact the Health Dept. (392-2200) to schedule for the WIC clinic at The Sanctuary. Mention the Danville site when scheduling. If you have a child (children) needing immunizations, you may schedule your appointment to coincide with the immunization schedule. Mention that when scheduling.
•Thursday, July 12, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Infant and Childhood Immunizations. Appointment is requested. Call The Sanctuary Service Center at 740-599-7224 to schedule. Bring your child’s immunization record. All children starting school in the fall as well as Head Start and Daycare require immunizations be current. Any questions regarding your child’s immunization record, please contact Knox County Health Department at 740-392-2200. All children must be up to date with immunizations for school by Sept. 1. Serving all families in East Knox and Danville school districts. There is no charge for the immunizations but if possible, a service fee per visit. No one will be denied immunization due to inability to pay.
