The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a

* Flood Advisory for…
Marion County in north central Ohio…
Morrow County in north central Ohio…
Knox County in north central Ohio…

* Until 430 PM EDT

* At 123 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen in a brief period of time with these storms. Additional rain is expected over the next hour. The heavy rainfall in combination with wet ground conditions from recent storms will cause minor
flooding in the advisory area. Torrential rain will impact visibilities on interstate 71 through early afternoon.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include… Marion, Mount Vernon, Mount Gilead, Fredericktown, Gambier, Utica, Cardington, Centerburg, Ashley, Prospect, Danville, La Rue, Morral,
Waldo, Chesterville, Sparta, Waterford, Caledonia, New Bloomington and Edison.


Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
