MOUNT VERNON — Donald V. Loney, 85, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at the Centerburg Respiratory and Specialty Rehab Center. He was born on April 14, 1933, in Mount Vernon to the late William and Goldie (Evans) Loney. Donald worked construction in Mansfield.

He is survived by his sons, Christopher Loney and David Loney; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister, Pearl Maleas; several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Loney; daughters, Susan Sheets and Lisa Wantland; son, Donald Loney Jr; sisters, Martha Bjerk, Anna Blair, Charlotte Beam and Dorothy Frost; brothers, James, Christopher, Gene, Charlie, Alan and William Loney; and a daughter-in-law, Tammie Loney.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018, at 11 a.m., at Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon, with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating.
