MAUMEE — Naomi E. Scott, 94, formerly of Walbridge, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at the Elizabeth Scott center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Warren Township, Indiana, to Ervin (Gladys Baker) Spath March 26, 1924.

She served in the WAVES (Womens Auxilary Volunteer Enlistment Service) with the United States Navy. She was a Unit Clerk in Customer Service for 20 years with the former Blue Cross Blue Shield, retiring in 1986. Naomi married Harold F. Scott Sept. 13, 1945, and he preceded her in death. Naomi was an active member of the Northeast Wood County Senior Citizens, a member at Mainstreet Church, and served as a Sunday School teacher for Scripture Teachers.

Surviving are her children, Joyce (Larry) Huffman, Larry (Janis) Scott, Loretta (Stephen) Kroehler, Gloria (Wesley) Green; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Cleo Hippensteel.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Martha Bowden; son, George Scott; and siblings, Erma Meyer, Ruth Shoemaker and Edna Taylor.

Friends will be received Saturday, June 16, beginning at noon at Mainstreet Church, 5465 Moline Martin Road, Walbridge, OH 43465, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be Monday, June 18, at noon in Mount Vernon at Ebenezer Cemetery.
