CENTERBURG — The accomplishments of some of the best Centerburg athletes were acknowledged during the monthly board of education meeting Monday evening.

The varsity baseball team and coaches were recognized for winning the district championship, and track stars Tyler Boales and Sarah Thatcher were recognized for qualifying and competing in the 2018 OHSAA State Track competition. Boales was given further accolades for placing third in the 100 meter and second in the 200 meter.

The board approved the treasurer’s report and recommendations to transfer the remaining class of 2017 funds to the high school permanent structure fund and an additional $10,000 for the student activities fund.
