MOUNT VERNON — The newest class of medical assistants from the Knox Technical Center is off to blaze new trails in the health technologies field following graduation from the program Friday evening. The 2018 class celebrated together at the Knox County Career Center cafetorium.

The ceremony presented the culmination of 10 months of work for the dedicated students who logged 920 hours in the rigorous program. Their hard work has reached a tremendous conclusion, as half of the graduating class has already achieved post-graduation employment.

Class speaker, Iesha Stewart, remarked on the close bond of the 10-member-strong class during her speech, which lauded the strength of the program and the relationships between classmates.
