MOUNT VERNON — Mount Vernon Nazarene University Men’s Basketball is geared up once again to offer a variety of summer opportunities, which will be taking place in June inside of Ariel Arena.

Camp opportunities will come in the form of both team camps and individual camps. The #RULECougar 2018 Team Camps begin with a “Sweet 16 Shootout” June 23. June 18 and 19 will also be the date of the “Relentless” team camps, where participants will play a minimum of fifteen 12-minute games.

The third annual MVNU #RULECougar Elite Camp will take place Wednesday, June 20, from 1-6 p.m. Camp participation is limited to 10th-12th grade students, and participants will be able to compete against some of the best players in Ohio and the Midwest region in competitive team play, drill work, and 1-on-1 gauntlets.

And last but certainly not least is the ever-popular third annual MVNU #RULECougar Day Camp, which will take place Monday, June 25 through Thursday, June 28. The camp is for third through ninth grade students, and is a teaching and learning camp with an emphasis on fundamentals, teamwork, and a positive atmosphere to grow.

“We’re really excited for camp season this coming June,” said coach Jared Ronai. “Our RULECougar fundamentals youth camp is one of my favorite weeks of the summer. The gym will be full of energy, youthful enthusiasm, and joy for the game of basketball. Campers will have a full week of learning the game, becoming a great teammate, and a lot of fun hard work. We’re excited to grow and get better this June.”
