LEXINGTON — The North Central Ohio All-Star Classic is all about making new friends and strengthening some old ones. And, oh yeah, it’s about snapping on the chinstrap one final time as a high school football player.

Fifteen players from the Mount Vernon News area got the opportunity to do just that Friday night as they participated in the all-star classic at Lexington High School. They also let some of the big boys from the northern counties know that football in Knox and Morrow counties is pretty solid, as they helped the South team roll to a 38-7 victory over the North squad.

“This was a lot of fun. I got to meet some new people, make some new friends and I got to play with some of my Fredericktown guys one last time,” said Fredericktown tight end Xavier Stallard.
