MOUNT VERNON — The city’s grant consultants are in the final stages of preparing an application for a Community Development Neighborhood Revitalization Grant. The plan was developed during a series of public hearings held at the Escape Zone and at Dan Emmett Elementary School. A hearing Thursday and another at 1:30 p.m. June 12 at City Hall are the final chances for public review and comment.
The application for the $450,000 grant is to be submitted to the Ohio Development Services Agency Office of Community Development.
No members of the public showed up at Thursday’s hearing, but Hannah Diewald, associate urban planner with Community Development Consultants of Ohio, explained the plan they have come up with.
