MOUNT VERNON — Pastor Bege “BJ” Wiegman has been a chaplain and parish pastor for 31 years, and in her retirement has create a new ministry for Knox County folks that she is calling “Managing your Memories and Messes.” This program assists older adults or adult children with aging parents to start the process of decluttering and organizing. Throughout her ministry she has listened to people who don’t have family or friends available to help them. Perhaps the project is as small as organizing a closet, donating unused household items or moving to assisted living and preserving keepsakes.

This program is designed to work along side of people, helping them make decisions about what to keep, donate, recycle, give to family or friends, and to throw away while listening to their stories. All of the work is done by volunteers.

Pastor Bege is looking for clients as well as volunteers and may be contacted at 740-501-1856 and leave a message, or email bjwmemories@gmail.com.
