FREDERICKTOWN — Vernon W. Kandel, 87, of Fredericktown, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, June 6, 2018. He was born Jan. 30, 1931, in Dundee, the son of William and Lucinda (Hostetler) Kandel. Vernon and his late wife, Amanda, moved to Fredericktown in 1965 from Wayne County and worked on the family dairy farm until his retirement in 1989. He was a lifetime member of the Gilead Mennonite Church.

Vernon had an amazing spirit that brought laughter and giggles to himself and everyone around him.
