CENTERBURG — Sandra L. Cagwin, 78, of Centerburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. She was born on Dec. 6, 1939, in Columbus, to the late John and Helen (Leist) Blizzard.

Sandra was raised in Columbus and graduated from Linden-McKinley High School. She also earned a Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in Psychology. Sandra worked as a social worker for the County of Delaware and Franklin County for many years.

Sandra loved arts and crafts, crocheting, flowers, but most of all she loved her kids and grandchildren. She was also a Queen of the Red Hat Society in Apple Valley.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Paul H. Cagwin; a son, Jeffrey P. Cagwin; a daughter, Jennifer (John) Drumm; and four grandchildren, Abby, Connor, Camron, and Micah.

Along with her parents, Sandra is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Katie Gross.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 4, from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home; 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050, officiated by Pastor David Fowls. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. in Oak Grove Cemetery in Delaware.
