MOUNT VERNON — According to American Health Network, a local doctor is no longer practicing at its Mount Vernon office.
According to the statement posted at the front desk of the 1220 Yauger Road office, Dr. Brent Nimeth is “no longer employed with the American Health Network.” The posting also indicated that at this time, the AHN is “unaware” of any plans Nimeth has for practicing in the “near term.”
Patients, the statement said, can reschedule their appointments with nurse practitioners Ashlee Armstrong or Pamela Studer, with priority going to patients with “the most immediate needs first.” The statement also said that an effort is being made to find another provider in the future in order to “catch up with the backlog of patients.”
Practice Manager Sandra Frazier declined to comment “out of respect for Dr. Nimeth and the company” but did explain that the official statement for patients was posted in the office, Tuesday, May 29. Patients of Dr. Nimeth will also be receiving a statement via mail, Frazier said.
According to eLicense Ohio Professional Licensure website, Nimeth’s medical license remains active and no board action is indicated. He license was originally issued Sept. 15, 1989. It was renewed Dec. 7, 2017 and is valid until April 1, 2020.
A call to American Health Network’s Columbus seeking further details was unreturned as of press time.
