UTICA — Rita M. Ray, 78, of Utica, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at her home with her loving family by her side.

She was born on March 9, 1940 in Columbus, to the late Joseph and Ellen (Burns) Baltzer. Rita enjoyed playing Bingo, teaching her grandchildren how to play poker and was a member of the Bell Church of Christ. Most of all, Rita loved the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Robert) Cline; three sons, Victor (Rita) Ray Jr., Lloyd Ray, Mark (Cassy) Ray; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her sisters Theresa Munson, Pat (Roland) Wallis; her brothers, Joe Baltzer, Fred (Nancy) Baltzer, and Bob (Kay) Baltzer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Ray Sr.; her granddaughter, Rachel Ray; and three brothers, Jack, Tom, and Bernie Baltzer.

Friends may call on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, from 5-7 p.m., at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home. The family will observe a private graveside service in Bell Church Cemetery at a later date.
