UTICA — Village Council held a brief meeting Monday, with no legislation on the agenda, but did approve the final plan for the summer’s paving program. Village Administrator Glen Richards told council that in order to keep the program under $50,000, Crestview Drive had to be dropped.

The final price is $49,622.75 from Small’s Asphalt Paving, slightly over the $48,000 that was budgeted. Streets on the list include sections of Clinton, Curtis, Washington Street, Barrimore Drive and Buena Vista Avenue.

Richards also reported the village Parks and Recreation committee plans to restore a decorative fountain on the Village Green, the state-mandated Asset Management Plan for the water plant has been completed, the repair of 15 manholes will start in the fall and he expects updated zoning maps to be completed in the next month or so. The management plan requires an inventory of all equipment, what it would cost to replace and how they would pay for it, Richards explained.
