MOUNT VERNON — Norma Jean Clark, 83, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Sept. 13, 1934, in Crawford County, the daughter of Harry Thomas and Elverda (Nelson) Clark. Norma enjoyed the classic television shows, “I Love Lucy” and the “Black Stallion.” She also liked to listen to gospel music, travel to Amish country and she always looked forward to a good bowl of ice cream.

She is survived by a brother, Robert Clark; and cousins, Walter and Ruth Nelson of Mount Gilead, and Charles Barber of Galion. She is also survived by her close friends, Linda Tucker, Pat Dilger and Jennifer Huffman; and her family from Gantt Homes, who have lovingly cared for Norma for 15 plus years.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Edith, Ruth, Grace and Flory.

Friends may call on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 3-5 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 where a funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m. in Oakwood Cemetery, 835 Kaler Ave., Bucyrus, Ohio 44820.
