MOUNT VERNON — A Mount Vernon man admitted Friday in Knox County Common Pleas Court to possessing chemicals used to make methamphetamine.

Jeremy L. Dinsmore, 38, pleaded guilty to one count of illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a third-degree felony.

Dinsmore also pleaded guilty to one count of safecracking, a charge which stems from a separate offense. In exchange for Dinsmore’s guilty plea, a charge of theft that stems from the safecracking incident was dismissed.
