MOUNT VERNON — Senator Rob Portman stopped by Ariel Corp. Friday on his Results for the Middle-class Tax Reform Tour.

Portman said Friday was his fourth time visiting Ariel and explained that he appreciates seeing the company and how they have grown. During his visit, Portman spoke with Ariel employees and management and even took a minute to speak with Jim Buchwald about riding bikes, his great-grandchildren and the success of the company.

His visit was focused on Ariel’s utilization of the money it has saved as a result of recent tax reforms which Ariel CEO and President Karen Buchwald Wright has stated will come in the form of wage increases and expanded benefits for employees as well as “reinvesting in the business” and increased manufacturing capabilities.
