MOUNT VERNON — Mother Nature took its toll on district baseball and softball games again Tuesday, as all area games except Fredericktown were suspended.

Centerburg led 8-3 in the first inning over Grove City Christian in a Division IV baseball game at Buckeye Valley before play was suspended. That game will be continued tonight at 5 p.m. at Buckeye Valley.

Highland’s Division II baseball game with Watterson was also suspended and will be made up tonight at 5 p.m. at Don Edwards Field in Newark.

In a game not halted because of the weather, Northridge will take on Columbus Academy in the Division III district finals tonight at 5 p.m. at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.

On the softball side, all three games involving area teams were canceled because of the weather.

Highland and Big Walnut will try again tonight at 5 p.m. at Pickerington North; Utica and Liberty Union will face off tonight at 5 p.m. at Pickerington Central; and Cardington and Pleasant will tangle again tonight at 5 p.m. at Olentangy.
