MOUNT VERNON — Denine “Dee” Wells-Steinmetz, 52, of Xenia and formerly of Mount Vernon, took “Flight” from this life Monday, May 7, 2018. She was born on Dec. 16, 1965, in Portland, Maine. Denine was a proud member of the Air Force Mother’s Group in support of her son, Adam, who is a member of the United States Air Force.

She is survived by her son, Adam Keith (Heather) Steinmetz; a grandson, Liam Keith Steinmetz; her parents, Rev. Stuart and Rev. Gail (Kennel) Wells; five siblings, Kathy Wells of Torrington, Connecticut, John (Tammy) Wells of North Woodstock, New Hampshire, Tom (Cindi) Wells of Bellbrook, Debra (Jonathon) Miller of Springfield Center, New York, and Wendy Wells of Hallowell, Maine; two step-sons, Aaron Steinmetz and Shane Steinmetz.

Denine was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Keith Steinmetz, in 2006.

Friends may call on Tuesday, May 29, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050 where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. The Rev. Brian Eastman will be officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery.
