FREDERICKTOWN — The National Day of Prayer celebration held at the Fredericktown First Presbyterian Church Thursday evening centered around unity and “one nation under God.”

The theme verse for the evening was Ephesians 4:3 which states “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”

Pastor Joe Beran of the Berlin and Batemantown Methodist Churches lead the service in which unity was spoken of in many different ways through both prayer and conversation.

The event itself was a symbol of unity as it was lead by the Fredericktown Area Church Association which is a group of 11 churches in the Fredericktown area.
