CENTERBURG — The Centerburg Garden Club has two upcoming events that are open to the public.

Saturday, May 5, the club will sponsor a plant swap from 10 a.m. to noon at the Centerburg Gazebo, uptown in Centerburg.

Participants are asked to bring plants to swap including vegetable and flower plants that are marked with names. Flower pots, tools and equipment are also accepted to swap.

The Centerburg Garden Club would like to honor those they have lost resting at the Eastview Cemetery in Centerburg. For each donation, they will plant flowers in a bed of mulch at the site of the donor’s choice. Or at a site of a loved one of those in the community that are no longer able to. Suggested donation for geraniums is $20 and marigolds is $15. To reserve a planting, contact the Centerburg Garden Club by May 16 at

The Centerburg Garden Club meets the last Tuesday of each month, 6:30 p.m., at the old Centerburg High School, Preston Street. Questions on any of the projects or the club itself may be emailed or by calling Saundra Dove at 740-625-6749.
