GAMBIER — Ariel topped Brenneman Lumber on Tuesday in Mount Vernon Baseball Association Major League action in Gambier by a score of 10-6.

Brenneman Lumber was able to maintain good pitching and swing the bat well during the game. However, it wasn’t quite enough to pull through for the win.

Leading the team in hits was Isaiah Campbell, who smacked a ball deep into left field for an inside-the-park home run. Campbell also added a double and single for his team.

Other contributors to Brenneman Lumber’s offensive performance were Payton Hempfield with three singles; Mason Holt, who had an RBI single; Carson Meyer, who worked at the plate to earn a walk and later hit a two RBI base hit; Caleb Rickett with a single; and Wyatt Denuit with a walk.
