MOUNT VERNON — Lorna Leah Williamson, 58, of Mount Vernon formerly of Worthington passed away Saturday evening, April 21, 2018, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on July 6, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Larry T. and Delores A. (Dotson) Woutersz.

Lorna graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1977. She was a faithful member of the Vineyard Church of Knox County. Lorna was Master Gardener and had volunteered at the AmeriFlora Show in Columbus. She enjoyed playing coed soccer well into her 50’s, cooking, photography, karate and raising chickens.

Lorna is survived by her loving husband, John, whom she married on Aug. 19, 1995; daughter, Courtny L. (Fletcher) Brown of Mount Vernon; step-daughter, Rebecca (Zac) Teater of Suwanee, GA; step-grandchildren, Gabriel, Samuel and Chloe; sister, Lisa (Dan) Shank of Dorset; brother, Lee (Britta) Woutersz; and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, April 27, at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon. A funeral service celebrating Lorna’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, at the Vineyard Church of Knox County, 806 Harcourt Rd, Mount Vernon with Pastor Greg Weyrich officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the church. A committal service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 30, in Flint Cemetery, Worthington.
