GAMBIER — The historic Quarry Chapel is holding a concert Sunday, at 3 p.m. The concert is presented by Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s Goliard Choral Ensemble and The Friends of the Quarry Chapel.

Goliards is a small a cappella chamber choir that was created in the early days of MVNU to give priority to Renaissance and early music literature. The choir was named for medieval musical groups of scholars, musicians, theologians, and entertainers who traveled from place to place in the 8-14th centuries. The choir continues to emphasize early music but has also grown to embrace other a cappella chamber choir literature. Members represent a variety of academic majors and denominational backgrounds.

The historic Quarry Chapel is at 10930 Quarry Chapel Road in Gambier. For more information, please see our Facebook page or visit www.quarrychapel.com. There is no charge for admission.
