MOUNT VERNON — Two Mount Vernon High School students are regional History Day winners, following their presentations at the regional History Day contest at Ohio Wesleyan University on March 10.

Junior Michelle Sant and Sophomore Owen Decatur are moving on to compete against the best History Day research papers in the state of Ohio on April 21 at OWU, as well.

MVHS history teacher Rob Fetters told the News, “I am very proud of them both. I had only two students in my classes who could compete on that date (of regional competition March 10), and both are going on to compete at state.”
