Allison Glass/News Ashley Citro and her children, Trinity, fifth grade; Addison, fourth grade; Brixton, first grade; and Cecilia, Kindergarten, pose at a photo booth during a recent East Elementary’s “Morning with Mom.” The event featured important women in the students’ live including grandmothers, mothers, aunts, etc. and encouraged them to spend the morning eating donuts and reading with their students, as “Morning with Mom” coincided with the Scholastic book fair at the school. Trinity was excited by the graphic novels and “365 days of Wonder” books, while Addison was interested in the “National Geographic” books about animals and the “Bad Guys” series. “I know Brixton is into anything Minecraft,”Ashley told the News. Cecilia said she was having fun with the “Pig the Pug” books, as well.
