MOUNT VERNON — Dorothy G. Davy, 84, of Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at home. She was born Feb. 3, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Sidney and Olivia (Pearson) Rogers.

Dorothy retired from Knox Community Hospital, where she was a registered nurse for many years.

Dorothy is survived by a step-daughter-in-law, Diane Davy; grandchildren, Adrienne (Dan) Brown and Melissa (Mike) Rothe; great-grandchildren, Collin Anderson, Ilana Sark, Hannah Spencer and Kelsey Spencer; dear friend, Sarah Mohler; and her canine companion, Joy Belle.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Davy; and step-son, David Davy.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Knox County for the love they showed and the care they provided to Dorothy.

A private service will be held for Dorothy and she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Dale in Mound View Cemetery.
