BRINKHAVEN — Myrtle Hammons, 85, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018, at the Joel Pomerene Memorial Hospital in Millersburg.

She was born Dec. 16, 1932, to David and Rosetta (Howard) Logston. She married Arden Hammons, who preceded her in death along with their son, Jesse James Hammons, her brother, and three sisters.

She is survived by her sons; Joe (Sandy), Roland, and Steve Hammons, all of Brinkhaven, daughters; Kathleen Harris of Brinkhaven, Erma Jean (James) O’Daire and Jeannie Smith both of Danville, 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Dortha (Darell) Helms of Brinkhaven.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 19, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Sheila Kent will officiate. Burial will follow in Tiverton Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until service time.

Myrtle loved the Lord and served Him wherever she went. She wanted every person she knew and met to be saved so that she may see them again in Heaven. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Greer Wesleyan Church, 20189 SR 514 Glenmont, 44628. visit www.fischerfuneralhome.com.
