FREDERICKTOWN — It isn’t too late to get a vendor’s spot at the Quilters Market Day April 14 in Fredericktown.
“Vendor” is a flexible term when it comes to the market day. Most of the vendors are quilters who want to sell books and supplies from their own stash, as well as shop the show themselves, quilters market committee member Lisa Pfouts said.
“It’s a great place to get supplies at a reasonable price, exchange information, and talk with other quilters,” Pfouts said.
The market day typically has between 25 to 30 vendors, with more than 200 attendees through the door. There will be demonstrations of tools and techniques, and vendors are encouraged to bring in antique quilts for display and discussion.
The event is ideal for quilters at all levels of experience, quilting groups and 4-Hers working on sewing projects.
Most vendor tables are stacked with supplies, said committee member Patty Hoar. Some finished items come in, but the focus is on books, materials and tools for quilters working on their own projects.
Lunch is available at the show.
The vendor registration deadline is April 2. There is a fee per vendor table as well as a cost for admission. The first 150 through the door will receive a free shopping bag. There will also be a fat quarter drawing. Entry to the drawing is a donation of one fat quarter.
Quilters Market Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Fredericktown High School, 111 Stadium Drive, Fredericktown.
