MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon Municipal Court Department of Adult Probation, in partnership with Elks Lodge #140, will host Detective Lt. Craig Feeney of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and Detective Cpl. J.T. DeChant of the Mount Vernon Police Department, as they provide a first-hand look at the drugs and crime trends associated with the ever changing drug epidemic sweeping our community.

The newly established MVPD and KCSO K-9 units will be present to meet the public and discuss the unique role they have in responding to the diverse public safety needs of our community.

The Square Roots Series program, which is free and open to the public, will take place April 4, from 6:30-8 p.m.
