MOUNT VERNON — A Boy Scout working on his Eagle Scout, plus several other Scouts, will begin work today to replace the 70 broken window panes in the Community Foundation Pavilion at Ariel-Foundation Park.

Strang Glass will provide the glass. Owner Jeff Ulery said he will show the boys how to cut and install the glass, then they will do the clean-up and installation.

He said he didn’t know how many Scouts will be there, so he doesn’t know how long it will take to do the project, although he’s sure it will take more than a day or two of work.

Parks Superintendent Dave Carpenter said the project will be done at no cost to the city.
