CENTERBURG — The Oldtime Farming Festival announced the availability of scholarship funds to a limited number of students attending Centerburg High School who plan on continuing their education during the 2018-19 school year. In order to be considered for the scholarship a student must be a senior, living in the Centerburg School District and graduating from Centerburg High School. He/she must be planning to pursue a degree at any two or four-year accredited institution and planning to major in an agricultural related course of study, such as: Production Agriculture, Agri-Business, Veterinary Medicine, Horticulture, Landscaping, Greenhouse Management, Family Life or Forestry. The student must be enrolled as a full time student carrying at least 12 credit hours or equivalent.

The scholarship money will be distributed at the end of a semester in which the student achieves a minimum GPA of 2.0. The college transcript of his/her grades must be submitted to The Oldtime Farming Festival Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 668, Centerburg, OH 43011. The scholarship will be held open for one year. This money may be used toward any necessary college expenses.

Former Centerburg High School graduates who meet the above criteria can also apply, however, 2018 graduates will be given priority. Application must be made on an annual basis.

Students interested in applying for the scholarship may pick up applications at the Centerburg High School Guidance Counselor’s office. Completed applications must be received by May 1, 2018, in the CHS Guidance Counselor’s office or by The Oldtime Farming Festival Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 668, Centerburg, OH 43011. Final decision on awarding the scholarships will be made by The Oldtime Farming Festival Scholarship Committee.
