Lou Ann Adams, 60, of Centerburg, died Monday, March 5, 2018, at The James Cancer Hospital in Columbus due to complications from Lymphoma Cancer first diagnosed in November 2017.

The week of Feb. 12, the Ohio Eastern Star Home and the Country Club Rehabilitation Campus celebrated the 2018 Winter Olympics by holding their own Winter Olympics for residents — complete with the lighting of a torch and friendly competition between the two senior centers.

Joshua Morrison/News A male subject was taken into custody Tuesday after Mount Vernon Police responded to a threats of suicide call at 4:08 p.m. in the 200 block of South Harrison Street. Preliminary reports indicate the subject had lacerations and the situation was not secure. Knox County 911 reports show six police officers and two medical personnel responded. The subject was escorted out of the residence by police and placed into a patrol car at approximately 4:55 p.m. No further information is available, as of press time.
