MOUNT VERNON — It’s no fairy tale: The Big, Bad Wolfe and his teammates threw a scare into the Mount Vernon Yellow Jackets on Friday evening.

Teays Valley Vikings’ forward Ryan Wolfe put up 37 points, but the Jackets held on to win, 68-58, in their OHSAA Division I sectional final at The Hive.

The Jackets, who came out strong in the first half, grabbing (and converting off of) five steals, also had four 3-pointers by Collin Barteau (22 points). That put Mount Vernon on top by 17 in the middle of the second quarter. Barteau finished the game with a total of five 3-pointers.
