COLUMBUS — The state bowling tournament is not the time to have an off day.

Centerburg’s Colton Hogg found that out the hard way, finishing with a 482 series in the Division II State Bowling tournament Friday at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl.

“It wasn’t so good. I couldn’t figure out the oil pattern,” Hogg said. “I just couldn’t get the ball where I wanted it.”

“It was a little tough with the lane conditions. There was no back end, just a puddle of oil,” said Centerburg coach Matt Climer. “He just couldn’t get around it. His ball didn’t match up well with the lanes today.”
