DANVILLE — The Sanctuary, located at 304 S. Market St. in Danville, has released the following calendar of events for March.
Every day the Sanctuary is available to schedule Family Life Counseling, to provide mental and emotional care for children, adults and families. Contact their office at either 419-774-9969 or 567-560-3588. This is held on the second floor with general entry by covered entry stairs, but there is handicap access available via inside elevator.
Certified nurse practitioner Rebecca Metcalf will be available upon appointment to provide general medical care for children and adults on Tuesdays from 1-7 p.m., and on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Self pay only. Thursdays, March 1 and 15, Kate Meyers of “Top Notch Hands Massage Therapy” will be available to schedule Massage Therapy. Call 740-504-0044 to schedule or for more information.
Wednesdays, March 7 and 21, American Health Network nurse practitioner Deb Samples of Dr. Elder’s office will be available upon appointment from 9 a.m. to noon. Contact their office at 740-694-1261 to schedule for Danville; be sure to mention the Danville site when scheduling. Medicare, Medicaid, insurance and private pay accepted.
Thursday, March 8, the Health Department will be hosing a WIC Clinic from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Infant an Childhood Immunizations from 3-5 p.m.
•WIC is a nutrition education program providing healthy supplemental foods for expectant and/or nursing mothers as well as families with infants and children up to age 5 who live in Knox county and meet the liberal income guidelines. Contact the Health Department 740-392-2200 to schedule; mention the Danville site when scheduling.
•Please bring immunization records when getting new immunizations as it is important to maintain a child’s schedule of immunizations. Insurance is accepted; please note there is a $15 fee for each visit for immunization without insurance. No child will be denied immunization. Tuesday, March 13, there will be a Prenatal clinic for Amish Ladies. Contact Dr. Nolan Byler (330-359-5489) or Dr. Brent Lehman to schedule.

Wednesday, March 28, an AARP Tax Preparation Program will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the St. Luke Community Center. This is a free service of AARP. Available to all tax filers, especially those 60 years and older, low and moderate income taxpayers. Taxpayers with complex returns may be beyond the scope of the program; depreciation of any type of property, business with employees and Schedule F farm income are examples of ‘out of scope.’ To schedule an appointment or for more information, contact The Sanctuary at 740-599-7224.
