The couple was the guests of honor at a 45th anniversary reception on Dec. 30, 2017 at the Fredericktown United Methodist Church.
She was a member of the Fredericktown United Methodist Church, where she was active in many facets, including assisting in the opening of the Fredericktown Christian Preschool, Sunday School classes, and the “Prayers and Squares” quilting group. A third-generation quilter, Ellen deployed her talents with a needle and thread in several ways, displaying and donating several award winning quilts to multiple art shows, Tomato Show displays, and various charities and clubs.
