MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Career Center instructors Don McDaniel and Tim Hall announced two of their students are receiving top scholarships from the Universal Technical Institute. Of the 300 students who participated in the National High School Scholarship Test in November, Dylan Clark (Auto Tech) received first place with a $2,500 scholarship and Jamie Hager (Collision Repair) received second place with a $1,500 scholarship. The scholarship test consisted of over 150 questions relating to the automotive field. The Universal Technical Institute awards three scholarships to the top three students – Dylan and Jamie received the top two.

Jason Moody, Universal Technical Institute Ohio Admissions Representative, said, “I could not be more proud of these two young men. I want to commend you on the great things you are doing in the classroom and lab that have prepared these men for their futures. I just wanted to make you all aware of the great things your students are doing, your hard work is paying off.”
