SUNBURY — Mount Vernon’s second-half fortunes have decided a lot of the team’s games this season, and it did so in a negative way on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets scored only 17 points in the final two quarters to give up the lead to host Big Walnut, who won 52-48.

“We played some good basketball in stretches tonight, but unfortunately we allowed a big run late in the third quarter where Big Walnut took control of the game,” Yellow Jacket head coach Nick Coon said.
