The T-shirts were being sold at Centerburg’s basketball game Friday to help raise funds for the families of the two officers, one of which lives in the Centerburg area. CENTERBURG — The schools’ colors may be red, but the whole gym for Friday night’s boys basketball game between Centerburg and Fredericktown was wearing blue and grey.

The fans, players, cheerleaders and coaches all wore blue or grey “Family Forever” T-shirts in honor of Westerville Police Officers Eric Joering and Anthony Morelli, who were killed this past week.

Both officers had spent time in the Centerburg schools, but Joering was especially on the minds of Centerburg fans as he and his family live in Milford Township and his three girls all go to Centerburg schools. There were no ticket sales for the game, but all donations received went to the families of the officers. There was also a moment of silence prior to the varsity game.
