Joshua Morrison/News Flooding was still a concern Friday as rain this week has caused waterways to overflow. Mount Vernon and College Township fire departments performed a water rescue Friday evening, before 5 p.m., on Lower Gambier Road. The road was closed most of the day Friday as the Kokosing River came out of its banks. Stricker Road was closed Friday afternoon due to washed out culverts. Stull and Sapp roads, and many others, were closed because of rising waters.
